Southern California TMS Center was established for the treatment of depression using the revolutionary FDA approved treatment, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and is now one of the largest providers of TMS in the United States. Under the direction and guidance of the Medical Director, Todd Hutton MD, the trained staff of Southern California TMS Center is there to answer any of your questions and help in your recovery from depression.
Chief Medical Director, Todd M. Hutton MD
Dr. Todd Hutton is a board certified Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the USC Keck School of Medicine where he teaches residents in Psychiatry, and is on staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. Dr. Hutton completed his advanced TMS Therapy Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Hutton received his Bachelors Degree in Biology in 1985, and his Doctor of Medicine in 1989 both from the University of California, Irvine. He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, where he spent his last year as Chief Resident.

In private practice since 1993, Dr. Hutton is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of many areas of adult psychiatric problems, including but not limited to Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia, and Chemical Dependency, as well as Worker’s Compensation psychiatry.
If a psychiatric illness is diagnosed, one of our doctors will discuss the various treatment options available, and assist the patient in deciding on a well thought out approach to their care.
We are pleased to announce that Southern California TMS Center is among the first centers nationwide to offer outpatient treatment utilizing the newest FDA approved treatment for depression, Neurostar Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy.

Joann Gadsky, Director of Patient and Physician Relations
Joann Gadsky is the Director of Patient and Physician Relations at SoCal TMS Center and has worked as a healthcare provider since 1990. Joann has an extensive background in Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiovascular and Cancer Preventative Screenings, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy. Joann has worked with TMS Therapy since its approval by the FDA in 2008. She served as a Senior Coordinator on research projects with Harvard University and University of California, Los Angeles on the application of TMS Therapy for numerous Brain Disorders. Joann also served as the Chief Administrator for a FDA Trial on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy in 2011.
Joann’s experience in patient care, healthcare education, and disease management has assisted and inspired 1000’s of patients to the road to wellness.
Stephanie Vergara, LVN
Stephanie joined Southern California TMS Center in February, 2011. As a licensed LVN, Stephanie has specialized in psychiatric nursing since 2005 and is the Senior TMS Technician and TMS Coordinator of our Beverly Hills & Pasadena Centers. Stephanie is able to answer any questions you may have about TMS. Stephanie is fluent in English and Spanish.
Barbara Berdan, RN
Barb brings an extensive background in patient care to Southern California TMS Center. With more than 22 years experience as a psychiatric RN at Huntington Hospital, we are happy to welcome Barb to our team.
Lauren is a graduate of California State University of San Bernardino in Healthcare Administration. She is one of our Certified TMS Technician, as well as the coordinator for Orange County operations.
Abbey Horton, RN
Abbey has more than 20 years experience in the mental health and chemical dependency field, both as a Registered Nurse and a Marriage & Family Therapist. Originally from the UK, Abbey brings international experience and joins the team as a certified TMS technician. Currently she is furthering her studies by undertaking a Nurse Practitioner course in psychiatric nursing.
Mark joined Southern California TMS Center in December 2010. In addition to his work at SoCal TMS, Mark has had a long career in the mental health industry with nearly 20 years managing hospital inpatient admissions. Mark is one of our TMS Technicians at the Pasadena Center.
